Does anyone of you guys know if I order a business broadband, if they give a better line then 2mbit? as they promise 20mbit for business, was wondering if it could be done in my area(IP327GP)

Yep, I am going to relocate from Cologne, Germany to Bury St. Edmunds. So I am going from 100mbit fibre optic line to my fiancee's BT ADSL ... 2mbit. Feels like traveling back in time and there I arrive. Welcome back in the stone Age. Hope one day BT will deliver Infinity asap.

Having made some enquiries with BT, I have been told that a few cabinets in Bury St Edmunds were not installed for Health and Safety reasons. I am not in an historic area, so that is not the problem. I have been unable to find out which cabinet my phone is connected to, so I cannot discover what the "H&S" problem can possibly be.

Hi David,
I've spoken to a few people who are in a similar boat!
Living in the older side of Bury + BT Infinity seems to be patchy coverage. Presumably because of planning permission with the preservation areas.

The exchange is certainly now capable so I'm not really sure why they wouldn't roll it out everywhere!

I live in Northgate Avenue, BSE and have been waiting patiently since September for BT Infinity. However, despite the Mildenhall estate being activated last November or so, my local cabinet does not seem to have been activated . Does anyone have any news about this please?

Annoying isn't it.. it seems the attention to detail is great on every other aspect of the product as well!

Hopefully your replacement PSU will arrive as quickly as mine and it'll be a better one!

Exact same here :( Just unboxed my DroboFS (and btw I'm loving it), but already can't live with the noise anymore. It's 10x more annoying than all the disks or even my entire rig.

Shame on Drobo for using such a poor provider for the power bricks. Let's see what the support says; hoping they send a better replacement.

Just a little update on my cabinet.

While being frustrated at my cabinet being relocated 5 metres away from the old fttc cabinet, (took 3 months) with planned go live date of 31st December, i checked a week before the end of the year, on the site and it had changed the date to 6th January 2011. I thought to myself, ok only 1 more week, could be the cold weather, not a problem. Only the next day i checked again to see if it had changed, low and behold 30th March 2011. Thank you BT your a bunch of idiots.

Do you have any idea when they are rolling it out to the outlying areas. Guess they don't have me connected yet. Stuck in 3MB max for a while yet I'm guessing. :(

Where are you living and how far from the exchange are you? I'm over in Moreton Hall area and it looks as if I'm out of luck as far as BT Infinity goes right now. I'm getting a max 3MB download, and .3 upload.
Any idea how close you need to be for connection?

Riven_carnac - the engineer tested at 1Mb at the doorstep.. haven't had a chance to test it just yet.

Although I've seen full speed from FTP, Speedtest.net gave me about half that.... don't trust it :)
